The Digital Futures Research Hub provides access to High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources operated by the School of Computer Science for research staff and PhD students across TU Dublin. Follow the steps below to request access.
All access requests begin with the submission of the HPC Access Request Form:
Please provide detailed information about your research needs and computational requirements in the form. This helps us allocate appropriate resources for your work.
To access the HPC cluster from off-campus, you need to set up VPN access:
For VPN registration and setup instructions, please visit the ICT Services portal.
Once your access request is approved and VPN is set up, you can connect to the cluster:
Replace YourUsername with your TU Dublin username:
You will be prompted for your password, which is your standard TU Dublin password.
When accessing the cluster for the first time, there might be a slight delay (5-10 minutes) before the compute nodes recognize your user. Please be patient during this initial setup period.
The HPC resources are available to:
Priority is given to research projects funding HPC infrastructure and those with significant computational requirements that cannot be met by standard computing resources.
Resources are allocated based on:
Standard allocations include:
For specialized requirements or large-scale computations, please mention these specifically in your access request form.
