The report presents results from a survey concluded in early 2024, gathering insights from 35 universities across 22 European countries on how Inclusive Design is taught in Informatics programs. The survey explored whether institutions teach Inclusive Design, how it’s integrated into the curriculum, and the teaching methods used.
The report illustrates the relationship between software development and inclusive design (which is the design of systems to ensure that they are usable by as wide a range of people as possible), highlighting some of the ways in which both software systems and organizations can become exclusionary.
